Haaaahhh… udah 3 minggu masuk kuliah masi males2an. Ini lah akibatnya kalo dapet libur abis ujian, bawaannya males terus, tidur terus, makan terus, ke bawa deh kalo udah masuk kuliah. Ya sekarang phase badan ku masi phase dalam liburan kemarin itu, walopun udah 3 minggu berlalu. Gawat nih, mesti cepet2 buka mata, nyadar Na, nyadar.. kalo laporan, assignments, test, ama yg lain2 itu uda di depan mata… aih.. sedihnyaaa!! (tapi takutnya lebih besar).

Di semester ini, aku udah di tahun ke 3 buat course Biotechnology dan tahun ke 2 buat course Medical Bioscience. Subject Medical Biscience yg aku ambil semester ini physiology ama anatomy. Tapi, setelah 3 minggu aku jalanin, aku rasanya kurang sreg gtu ama anatomy. Kalau physiology sih emang dr dulu aku suka. Aku bingung gtu lho, kenapa coba anatomy itu mesti belajar gini gitu yg ribeeeeeeeeeettt skali.. trus aku juga ada rencana buat ngambil master biotechnology (masi rencana sih). Aku jadi makin ragu buat ngelanjutin course yg ini. Aku coba check2 subject2 yg akan di pelajari buat taun depan.. buat tamatin bachelor yg ini. Stelah aku liat2, emang kayaknya aku rada kurang cocok gtu ama course yg ini. Walhasil…. aku drop course yg satu ini.. hehe.. jadi sekarang ini final semester aku.. Baru tadi sih aku kasi tau kampus aku buat ngedrop.. moga2 ya lancar2 aja. Amien..

Aku jadi kurang siap nih.. kalo mikir semester ini aku lulus.. karena emang ga direncanain.. ehem.. Moga2 nilai ku semester ini bagus2 biar aku bisa masuk uni yg aku mau kedepannya.. :-s Abis yg aku mau syaratnya rada tinggi si.. udah lah nilai2 ku yg lain pas pasan.. :-s Mesti belajar keras nih..ugh!!

Ya akhir2 ini aku nga ada kegiatan2 baru. Seperti biasa.. kerja di rumah cuman makan, tidur, nonton anime, dll. O ya, aku ada beli novel baru, judulnya My Sister’s Keeper di karang sama Jodi Picoult. Novelnya kayaknya uda lumayan lama sih, tapi waktu aku pergi ke site nya si pengarang, katanya anaknya aja baca novel yg ini ampe nangis2.. jadi pengen baca. Novel terakhir yg aku baca di karang ama dia aja aku suka banget.. ampe kepikiran terus abis bacanya. Misi sekarang, pengen beli smua novel karangan dia nih, kyknya novel dia bagus2.. huhuhu.. Ntar kalau aku uda abis baca yg ini, aku tulis deh reviewnya..

Sekedar pengumuman nih.. (pamer dikit lah hihi) hari ini aku ama si dia udah satu tahun 1 bulan.. Horeee… Ya semoga berlanjut trus.. amien..

Happy Anniversary to Us..

This is my last semester to complete my degree in biotechnology. Well, not that happy cuz I still have another 2 sems to complete another one. I have this one friend, who knows everything that I think I should know for our future path after walking out of Monash. I actually don’t plan to take my master yet after I complete this 4 yeas study, but when I think of my parent who might retired in 4 years time, I think I should continue taking master while I still have the chance and, who knows, after my parent retired my parents will not afford anymore to support my study.

What I know is that i don’t want to do research job in my future cuz it takes a very long time in order to do that, but I like science, prefer short lab time, more to office job…So, this friend of mine recommend me to go to university of Melbourne as they offer new master programs and there is master of science (biotechnology). The best thing is that they don’t ask for honours, YESSSS, it’s 2 years course, have some business subjects, and no research! Yayy.. well, it’s very expensive.. and after I calculate the total fees it is more than my total for this double degree. And that is only for the uni fees, excluding living costs. Errhmm.. well, this is just my planning and I hope I am capable of entering this course.

aih.. this semester is the worst. I have for labs in a week. But the good thing is mostly my classes start in the late morning so I don’t have to wake up early anymore, and have more rests, more sleeeeepppiiingg time.. All the subjects seem pretty hard, wew, hope I can cope with all those. Amien

well.. now is already 5.00Am, and i still have 3 hours and 30 minutes to go for revision.. err..not exactly.. deduct 45 minutes for me to take bath..get ready and get to campus.. so i have less than 3 HOURS!!!

praying to God will give me guidance during tHe exam..
well.. this is my last exam (MBB subject) and then i’ll finish my 5th sem.. yaaaYY.. .. I Have around 3 weeks of vacation.. and doesn’t really have a plan this time. I just went to my hometown last month.. so i dun think it’s necessary to go back anymore.. i’ll just spend my time here.. on my bed.. with my piLLow and blanket with air cond oN.. ” POLAR BEAR – mode ON “ HOhhOhoHo…
watch movies all day.. spending money here and there while mango is still on sale hehehe.. and i’ve been thinking on buying guitar recently..eventhough i”m zerO level with it.. but i wud be nice i think if i learn something beside my course.. something that i like… well i like arts .. and i envy my brother for being sooo talented in playing guitar.. even if it’s too late for me to ask him to teach me.. hemm.. but i wanna be like him.. he give me so much to inspire.. and give me examples in living life.. that’s why i admire him so much.. miss him so much.. (we’ll meet again when i finish with the world’s stuff here my bro, hang in there)
anyway… i should continue with my study now.. so scareeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!!!!!!!!

Well, I’m gonna talk about my course for this post. First time I enter the course, Biotechnology and Medical Bioscience, I have no idea of what they actually teach us and what I would become after taking those. I just knew that it must contain most of the biology and a bit of chemistry, and which is true. Now, I’m already in the 3rd year of my course, which nearly complete my Biotechnology course with one more semester to go, and with 2 more semesters for the other course.

From what I understand so far in these 2.5 years of studying Biotechnolgy, they actually involve in manipulating genes, which is out genetic materials. It actually teaches us of using living organisms and make a better use of it producing products. Like yogurt, it is one of the biotechnology product in which bacteria called Lactobacillus is used in yogurt production.

I really admire this course as it is difficult to understand (for me ), complicated but interesting at the same time. As I said before, it involves in manipulating our genetic materials. It can change the sequence, or delete the particular function, mutate it to see what comes out of it, transferring the genes from one organisms to another with different species, etc. And biotechnology is very useful to identify or examine genetic diseases. Usually, people who are taking this course mostly becomes researchers. But I don’t want to be researcher in the future and still searching what other jobs that actually need biotechnology. I do like doing research for a while, or working in the lab for sometimes but not to spend it for my whole life, I would like to do something different and still searching for it. But I do know, that it is very useful knowldge and hopefully I don’t have difficulty in finding jobs in the future :d

As for Medical Bioscience, I’m not quite clear what it actually teaches as I only took some of it subjects and next year I’ll become clearer on the course content, but i believe that it is connected to medical worlds. That is all for my course information.
